Is the link to Morgan's remembrance page. If you wish to make any NON-FURRY comments please do so. As for his funeral his family has requested to keep this a private matter and NON-FURRY. There will be arrangements made for furries to remember Morgan. There will be an April 7th dinner but we are still planning this.

Thank you for your patience on this. I will be making Morgan's favorite cake at the dinner.

Do you happen to have an address handy? I'm not sure if they have a specific ATTN: or whatnot for such things. (Having had to manage donations for this sort of thing myself, I know it can get a little screwy sometimes...)

Hi,

There is also a donation form on the foundation's website (http://www.heartandstroke.on.ca/) that takes credit cards, which may be more practical for people outside Canada. Right now it is not working for me (alas) but will try again later.

Also: On the Book of Memories website, there is a four-stage process for recording a donation by check. Watch out: The record is not made by pressing a finish/submit button at the end of the fourth stage, but at some point earlier in the process...

Did the family mean "No Furs private" or "private private" as Bard does have a small contingent of non-fur writing friends who might want to attend the service, but not any famdom remembrance gatherings.

Before Bard became heavily involved in the Fandom he expressed to me his somewhat worrisome lack of real world friends. It would be a shame if the official service only had a handful of family present as it would be disrespectful to a legacy that had real impact on people's lives. Of course I completely understand the issues involved in having 20 people with tails and ears show up for a solemn gathering of mundanes.

No furry as in only close friends. ABSOLUTELY ZERO furry stuff near the funeral. We will have a private fur party on the 7th in Toronto.

I can understand what the family wants. Funerals are for family. We'll remember Morgan in our own ways. For the moment let the family grieve in peace.

Jacob, thank you for keeping us up to date on everything. I'm sorry to hear of Michael's passing. I didn't know him that well, but we talked a few times at cons and I published a couple of his stories in my anthology books.

I would like to publish one of Micahael's stories, "Friendship," the one I used for the human/furry anthology, in memory of him. Given that you've said his family doesn't know much about the net and even less about the furry fandom, I don't want to bug them.

So rights for the story could be an issue, though his friends would probably say that it would be something Michael would've wanted. I could also give a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in lieu of author payment. What are your thoughts on this?
